چکیده
Background: Cervical spondylotic radiculopathy and myelopathy are common problems for which anterior cervical discectomy fusion is a gold standard procedure. There various implant options available, two of commonly used in practice. Anterior cage with plate locking standalone cage. Our study aims to compare these methods know the functional radiological outcomes after Materials Methods: We performed prospective comparative 60 patients single or level degenerative spine disease failed conservative management. They were divided randomly into 2 groups 30 each one group treated using other Smith Robinson approach. The clinical outcome was measured visual analogue scores, Robinson’s criteria Neck disability index assessed cobb’s angle, segmental height segment angle follow up period years. Results: At years up, good obtained both terms criteria, neck scale. And 93.3% rates groups. Significant dysphagia seen group(26.6%) significant subsidence noted group(20%). Conclusion: superior at Hence technique equally safe effective treatment 1 disease. Keywords: fusion, Disability Index, Visual Analogue scale, Locking cage, plate, subsidence,

Anterior Cervical Discectomy with Stand Alone PEEK Cage for Management of 3 and 4 level Degenerative Cervical Disc Disease*
AIM: The aim of this study was to evaluate the efficacy of cage-assisted fusion in three and four level cervical arthrodesis without additional anterior plating in patients with normal bMD. We hypothesized that omitting the use of long anterior cervical plate in multi-level ACDF will simplify the surgery, reduce the surgical time, avoid excessive and prolonged retraction on esophagus and caroti...
متن کاملComparative biomechanical study of cervical spine stabilisation by cage alone, cage with plate, or plate-cage: a porcine model.
PURPOSE To compare stability and subsidence associated with 3 types of cervical spine stabilisation. METHODS The C3 to C4 vertebrae of 28 Polish pigs were used. Pigs with intact vertebrae (group 1) underwent standard anterior cervical discectomy (group 2), followed by stabilisation using a cage alone (group 3), a cage with plate (group 4), or a plate-cage (group 5). Cervical spine stability a...

OBJECTIVE To study clinical and radiographic outcome of patients who underwent the Cervios cage-assisted anterior cervical discectomy and fusion (ACDF) without plate fixation in single to two-level degenerative disc disease (DDD). MATERIAL AND METHOD Sixty-seven patients suffering from cervical DDD with various symptoms such as radiculopathy, myelopathy, or both were retrospectively evaluated...
متن کاملAnterior corpectomy and reconstruction using dynamic cervical plate and titanium mesh cage for cervical spondylotic myelopathy
Anterior cervical corpectomy and fusion (ACCF) is an effective surgical technique for cervical spondylotic myelopathy (CSM). However, no data exist regarding long-term outcomes after ACCF with the dynamic cervical plate for CSM. This study aimed to provide minimum 5-year clinical and radiographic outcomes of anterior corpectomy and reconstruction using dynamic cervical plate and titanium mesh c...
متن کاملStudy of the Role of Nova Bone as a Filling Material in Cervical Cage in Anterior Fusion of Cervical Spine in Patients with Degenerative Cervical Disc Disease
Objectives: There are several reports about the therapeutic effects of cervical interbody cages for cervical degenerative disorders. Few have addressed the role of the filling material in fusion and improving the clinical symptoms. This study tries to study the effects of Novabone as a filling material in Solis cages in patients with cervical disc protrusions. The results have been compared wit...
